2D Platformer Amalgamation
(made in godot)
This prototype is an amalgamation of different movement mechanics I thought were fun to implement.
----------CONTROLS----------
ARROW KEYS to move and look up/down
Z/SPACE to jump
X to attack
C to dash (you get 2 midair dashes)
----------MECHANICS----------
I have (so far) included mechanics from Hollow Knight, Celeste and Super Mario Bros. 3 (they maybe didn't invent the mechanics, but that's where I know them from):
- Walljumping
- Attacking (Hollow Knight style, which leads to...)
- Spike/saw bouncing
- Dashing (Celeste style, but not quite. Although it still allows for...)
- Wavedashing / Super dashing (yes, reverse ones too)
- Crouching high jump (hold DOWN then look UP)
I have more ideas of what to implement, which I may eventually dump here.
**Note: Disregard Bill Nye. He can't hurt you.
